The FunPark FABRIKA sports and entertainment center has grown up in the area of the former Baťa factory, where the first jump park in Zlín has been open to the public since Tuesday, July 28. A new dimension of sports activities in Zlín
"FABRIKA will be largely open to sport activities for the public. A total of 10 new sport areas are designed in FABRIKA on an area of 10,000 m2. Planned is ice rink, an area for gymnastics and parkour, a multi-purpose hall and a so-called kit zone with a jump park and babysitting. The offer will be complemented by halls for karate, floorball and aerobics, "says Jan Pravda, coordinator of the largest fitness club in Zlín, the Vita Sana Club. There are currently many sport clubs in Zlín, which have long struggled with a lack of facilities for further development. There are also plans to establish a Sports Academy, which will focus on the education of talented sports youth. It could be a high school format that offers fields such as coaching, physiotherapy, sports management or sports marketing. The aim is not only to have a modern sports ground, but also to educate personalities who will become professionals. "It is a completely new dimension of cooperation in Zlín, for which we need a strong partner. That is why we entered into negotiations with the CREAM company, which supports a number of sports activities in Zlín,” added Pravda. "The idea of a large sports center makes sense to us even with regard to current trends in the real estate market. FABRIKA will remain a shopping center, but offer of brands will be more focused on sports, restaurants and other services related to a healthy lifestyle, ”says Martin Jarolím, Member of the Board of Directors of the CREAM company. A valid building permit was issued in mid-May this year. "Construction begins next year but the development of the economic situation with regard to COVID will decide. In the case of dramatic changes, the decision can be to postpone implementation. Otherwise, nothing prevents us from starting construction next year," added Jarolím.
Open every day
FunPark FABRIKA is open every day from Tuesday from 8 am to 9 pm. Anyone who loves trampolines, parkour, or wants to have fun in the mobile game zone can come. There will also be a small snack option. Admission to FunPark FABRIKA is free, only a place on trampolines needs to be reserved on the website eshop.gymnastikazlin.cz.
